At Glenwood Park, we value community, student growth and active learning. We create a supportive environment where effort is recognized and students learn together. Through hands-on projects and school events we aim to help every child thrive.

ACADEMICS

After-School Tutoring
  • Grades: K–5
  • Free, Title I-funded small-group instruction led by faculty/staff for additional academic support
  • Weekly (1 hour)

Spell Bowl

  • Grades: Selected students
  • District-level spelling competition
  • Achievements: District Champions – 2 years running!

Math Bowl

  • Grades: Selected students
  • District-level math competition
Athletics & Physical Activity
Girls on the Run
  • Grades: Girls in grades 3-5
  • Builds physical endurance, confidence and teamwork

Glitter Cheer
  • Grades: All grades welcome 
  • Learn cheer motions, jumps, dance routines and teamwork
  • Performances: December (Showcase) & March (Recital)

Coed Basketball
  • Grades: Varies by team (typically upper elementary)
  • Details: Team-based competition and skill development
Cross Country
  • Grades: Varies
  • Details: Endurance running and team participation in meets
Cheerleading
  • Support athletic events, learn cheers, jumps and routines

STEM & Technology Clubs

3D Print Club
  • Grades: 2-5
  • Introductory 3D printing program in 3-week sessions

Girls Who Code
  • Grades: 3-5
  • Coding club that encourages computing skills in girls
Music & Performing Arts

Panther Pride Percussion
  • Grades: 4 & 5 (by audition only)
  • Details: Focus on percussion using bucket drums, Boomwhackers and more

Veterans Day Choir
  • Grades: 4 & 5
  • Choir prepares a program to honor veterans
